For more than 30 years, L. Nathan Hare's career has been involved around, youth employment, education, training, foster care and juvenile justice.

In 2002, Mr. Hare took over the reigns of Community Action Organization of Erie County, Inc., in Buffalo, New York, which is one of the oldest anti-poverty agencies in the country.

In his short time of spearheading the agency, he has initiated a new system of service to youth entitled Neighborhood United for Restoration, Teaching, Uplifting, Recreation, and Education (N.U.R.T.U.R.E.), rejuvenated the Neighborhood Services Department, and created a new

Family Development Department.

L. Nathan Hare holds a B.A. in business Management from Medaille College and is a Doctoral Candidate in Education Administration at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is a noted scholar and teacher of African history and culture. He is also an African Storyteller, playwright and author.
